Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is a American animal rights activist, author also a model, actor and author. The actress is famous for movies such as Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) and The Getaway (1972). The daughter of a family of artists living in New York she wished to work in the field of art. At first she was employed as an assistant in photography. Then, her career shifted towards modeling and directing. Her first two movies were noticed, and she was awarded the Golden Globe Award of Most Newcomer of the Year. MacGraw's 1970 feature film Love Story was an international hit, earning the actress an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. The film was recognized as the most successful box office star in the globe after just three releases. In 1972 her hand-footprints and autograph were engraved at Grauman's Chinese Theater. The other films she has appeared on are The Getaway Convoy Players, the miniseries on TV The Winds of War and others. Moving Pictures is her autobiography which was published in the year 1991. MacGraw has been married 3 times.
