Zoe-perry

Perry is born July 25, 1968 in Chicago, Illinois to Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Her first TV roles were two appearances as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in The ABC sitcom Roseanne, the character portrayed by her mom. Her parents, however, did not allow her to act until she turned an adult because of the effects stress would affect their child. Perry says she didn't want to be an actor in high school but decided to take up acting as a social activity during her time at Northwestern University when she switched from Boston University. After graduating Perry went into New York to search for TV work, landing a few roles on series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent However, she was stricken by homelessness and brought Perry back home to California where she found theater jobs. Perry's mother and I appeared on Broadway with her for the play The Other Place, in 2013. In the year 2015, she was alongside Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer-winning Drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry starred in the drama's nine episodes from 2016 on the ABC drama The Family. In 2017, Perry had a minor role on ABC's political thriller Scandal in which her father was the main character. That same year the actress was selected to play a young model of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again portraying a younger character of her mom's character. She was cast in the role despite her close familial connection to the character.
