Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, a Canadian-American singer and songwriter. Her catalog includes more than 20 albums. DiFranco's music is classified as folk and alternative rock but also has influences from jazz and hip-hop. Ani DiFranco was the very first artist to launch her own record label in 1990. Ani is widely considered as one of the feminist icons. DiFranco was the child of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They met in their school, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
