Lita Rossana Ford (or Lita Ford as she is most commonly referred to, was an American-born British singer and guitarist who led the female-only hard rock band The Runaways during the late 1970s. Though the group didn't achieve much success in America but they enjoyed huge popularity internationally. This was especially true in Japan. Ford began a heavy metal solo career when the group broke up in 1979. Her debut solo album was 'Dancin' On the Edge and was followed by the Album Out for Blood. Both albums failed to get much attention and Ford disappeared out of the scene for a few years. Ford returned to the scene with her smashing hit album 'Lita, which debuted in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both became big hits. The popularity of her was temporary, and she was gone for a couple of years. In 1995, she released 'Black' and 15 years later 'Wicked Wonderland. The year was 2016, and her latest album, 'Timecapsule', was released. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
